I'm working on a lake scene for my first one. I'm going for a relaxing environment somewhat like a "paradise." Not sure what I'm going to do for my second scene. Probably some erie/frightening place. I'll get images up soon. I'm also curious about what types of scenes people are doing for their finals

I ended up doing a sorta Pier 1 to West Elm look (kinda took advantage of the project to do some interior arch viz for my portfolio). Just remember to consider the transition scene. It requires equal amount of attention and consideration.

The transition scene is the most complicated of the two, not only should you be blending materials but also objects and actual lights. I found that I spent a lot more time finding unique ways to bring objects from one scene into another. If it is a broken picture frame on one side covered in dust, debris, and having scratches and scuff marks on it, then a similar picture frame that is glossy and shinning on the other with one that almost blends the two in the middle transition area.
